A. YES! All the pre-recorded sessions in the on-demand section in addition to recordings of the live sessions will be available for one-year post-event for all registered attendees.
A. Authors will be participating in the opening session on Friday, some programs, author kick-off on Saturday and Sunday, Edwards event on Saturday and the closing session on Sunday.
A. There are many galleys available for download in the Virtual Galley Grab. Additionally, we will randomly select five winners at the opening, author kick off, Morris program, Edwards event, and closing to receive a set of books from the authors. For example, the winner during the opening session will receive a copy of a book from each of the authors speaking during that session.
A. Yes, there is a code of conduct that can be found here: https://yalsa2020.learningtimesevents.org/code-of-conduct. If you feel someone is violating the code of conduct, you can message the Roomtender to intervene. You can also email YALSA’s Executive Director at tdillard@ala.org.

A. Click on the three little dots in the upper right-hand corner of your image on Zoom and select RENAME.
A. If you hear an echo, there are 2 possible causes:
- You have both the computer and telephone audio active.
- You are too close to another person that is also logged in.
A. YALSA’s Symposium uses a mix of Zoom Meetings and Zoom Webinar. If you cannot see anyone else on video, you are in a Zoom Webinar. Author events (opening, closing, author kick off, Edwards Event) will be in Webinar format as well as a handful of live programs. Most of the programs will be in Zoom Meeting and you can see other attendees that have their video on.
A. YALSA's 2021 Symposium will be in Reno, NV, November 5-7. The meeting space is in a nonsmoking and nongaming building and the rooms are large enough to allow for some social distancing. YALSA will also have a variety of hotel options including a casino property and a nongaming tower of a hotel. Hotel rates start at $65 for Wednesday and Thursday, $125 for Friday and $135 for Saturday. The rates include the $25+ resort fee.
